To the Members of the John E. Jacobs American Legion Post 68:
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank those of you who have become volunteers for our organization, Lower Cape Fear LifeCare. Most importantly, thank you for becoming members of the Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Cape Fear Pinning Team. This pinning team is vital in providing well-deserved honor to our Veteran patients at the time of end of life.
Our Veteran Volunteers provide pinning ceremonies, to honor Veteran patients for their time of service, as well as Vet-to-Vet visits to our Veteran patients receiving care at home. These Vet-to-Vet relationships have proven to be instrumental in achieving the ultimate goal of a peaceful death.
Members of Post 68 have been volunteering for our Veteran program for several months now. They have proven to be very professional and invested when representing our program and our agency. Thanks to their dedication, numerous Veterans patients have been honored and visited. Without their participation, we would not be able to provide these services to as many of our veteran patients.
Thank you so much Post 68 for sharing your members and their valuable time to honor and celebrate fellow Veterans as only Veterans can!
We appreciate you more than words can say!
