Earlier this year, the Centers for Disease Control reported that the suicide rate in the United States increased by 24 percent between the years 2012 and 2022. Despite the efforts of many, suicide is on the rise.
Yet, there has never been more hope on the horizon for those in need of help.
The past 10 years have shown groundbreaking, effective treatment methods for suicidal individuals. The suicidal state is almost always transient and temporary. If we can intervene and get people the help they need, we can save lives. We can begin to do this by taking even a short amount of time to educate ourselves about MINDFULNESS-BASED STRESS REDUCTION.
