John E. Jacobs American Legion Post #68 of Leland, NC recognized as non-profit of the year!
The John E. Jacobs American Legion Post #68 of Leland was awarded the “Non-Profit of the Year” award at Wednesday night’s North Brunswick Chamber banquet.
During the ceremony held on June 28, 2023, Commander Hacker accepted the “Nonprofit of the Year” award from Mayor Bozeman. Commander Hacker stated that he, “humbly accepts the award recognizing the efforts of the Post 68 members for their efforts and dedication to support the needs of fellow veterans and the community they live in.”
There are 7 Categories that the North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce votes on every year by its members: “Woman of the year”, Beverly Pickett; “Professional of the year”, Dr. Paul Hrvol; “Entrepreneur of the year”, Mama’s and Papa’s Gourmet Ice Cream; “New Member Business of the year”, Chicken Salad Chick; “Business of the Year and Milestone Award” George Murray and “Non-Profit of the year”, American Legion John E. Jacobs Post 68, Leland.
Commander Hacker stated that, “I was honored to receive this award from the Mayor. This is what happens with Teamwork!”
