Supporting and Assisting our Local veterans through the VETERAN SMILES program

When you support your local John E. Jacobs American Legion Post #68, you are assisting local veterans. On August 25th Post #68 of Leland NC donated $500 to the VETERAN SMILES program. In addition, American Legion Post #543 of St. James, NC donated $1,500.

See attached Photo (L to R front: Col. (Ret. Army) David McCraken, Commander Phil McGhee (Post #543), Service Officer Lane Adrian (Post #68), Commander Dan Fortini (Post #68), Dr. Kingley, ECU dental school Director, Dr. DiCapris, Service Officer Steve Muir (Post #543); second row are the Veteran Smiles Staff.

The Veteran Smiles program at ECU School of Dentistry provides at risk veterans with a full line of dental treatment at low or no cost. The service is generously provided by the ECU School of Dentistry. The Leland Post #68 donation will be applied to the Brunswick school of Dentistry here in Brunswick County in Supply, NC.

Vet Smiles, along with the Director of Dentistry and the staff in ECU School of Dentistry expressed their appreciation for American Legion Post #68’s involvement in helping the veterans keep and maintain healthy teeth.
